ABOUT HER

Hi, I’m Nicky! I’m a licensed mental health counselor in Massachusetts and the founder of Higher Self Healing. I work with adults and couples who want to feel more connected—to themselves and in their relationships.

I support clients through life transitions, exploring relationship patterns, and building healthier, more effective ways of coping. My approach is collaborative and grounded in helping you create meaningful, lasting change. My goal is for you to feel more fulfilled, balanced, and connected in your everyday life.

You’re looking for a therapist who feels like a real person—someone who is warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental, but also honest and engaged. You want a space where you can show up exactly as you are, talk things through openly, and feel genuinely understood. You value therapy that’s both meaningful and practical—where we can explore deeper patterns while also finding ways to help you feel better in your day-to-day life and relationships. And it probably doesn’t hurt if you appreciate a therapist who’s a coffee-drinking, dog-loving, reality TV–watching human who keeps things down-to-earth and relatable.
Current obsession
Real Housewives of Rhode Island and iced shaken espresso! I love reality TV and consider myself a huge Bravo fan. As a therapist, it is important for my own self care to completely check out at the end of the day. It always helps to watch something less serious that makes me laugh.
Morning routine must-haves
I walk my french bulldog, Butters, first thing in the morning. Together, we get some steps in and chill out before breakfast and morning sessions. Next up is coffee! I cannot live without a strong cup of coffee, so it's a must have.
Favorite watch / unwind
My go to comfort show is New Girl. I love all of the roommates in the show, but Schmidt makes me laugh every time with his one liners. I appreciate the levity more than anything, but also love the deep sense of friendship in the show.
